We work with the master artisans of Piutre Italy who have been creating the world's most realistic plush animals for more than thirty years.  They are exceptional and perhaps uniquely gifted at capturing the correct form and features of most breeds and, to some extent,even  their most characteristic expressions.  While they cannot createa plush  "clone" of a particular animal, they nearly always can craft a plush  animal that closely (but not perfectly)resembles it, as shown in the  dog/cat section of the website. The finest fabrics in Europe (Tissavel, being one) are used tocreate  these animals, and no animal products are ever used (ie: leather, etc.),  in keeping with the passion for not just the craft but the animal  itself. As with any modeling process, the basic limitation is one of cost.The  goal of course, is to produce the best possible likeness in a single  iteration.  But many variables - including the number and quality of  available photographs and the similarity of the pet to any of the  available models - shape the time and expense involved, and no project  is the same. We will consult with our designer to provide you with an accurate timetable and estimate. That being said, I think you can gauge a firsthand estimate of close to  what the cost could be by looking at the dogs shown on the website.  If  you choose a size and shape similar to one already being made, there is  less 'custom' work involved in that a pattern may not need to be set. Please send us links to pages of dogs from the website that mimic a body size and pose that you have in mind.   Additionally, if you have any other photos, those will help. Sergio Angeli himself does all our special projects and signs his name  personally to the tag. We look forward to assisting you with this project.
